You should try to incorporate more lighting strategically placed throughout the room to brighten up those small nooks and crannies that would otherwise be cast in shadow. It’s best to orient lighting so it sweeps broadly across different surfaces throughout the room—this can make a new coat of paint look even more impressive, too!
5. Eliminate Clutter
Clutter and excess bulky furniture can make a small room feel cramped, so if you have any furniture throughout your home’s smallest rooms that you don’t need, consider moving or storing it to free up space. Also, be sure to clear any clutter off of countertops, and put away toiletries in bathrooms.
